What to do before we arrive
If it is safe to do so, stop the water at the source and switch off power to the affected area at the breaker. Lift what you can off wet carpet, especially furniture with stained feet and anything cardboard, and get rugs off hardwood. Take photographs before you move much: your insurer will want them.
Do not wait to see whether it dries on its own. Water wicks into the pad, the subfloor and the base of the drywall within hours, and the difference between a same-day extraction and a next-day one is often the difference between drying a room and replacing it.
How we respond
- We extract standing water with truck-mounted equipment rather than a shop vacuum, which pulls water out of the pad rather than just off the surface.
- We set high-powered industrial air movers and monitor the space until it is genuinely dry, not just dry to the touch.
- We treat the affected area to limit odor and microbial growth once the water is out.
- We tell you honestly what can be saved and what cannot. Some carpet and pad is not worth drying.
Why speed matters
Standing water in a South Jersey property is on a clock. Humidity here is high for much of the year, which slows natural drying and speeds up everything you do not want. Storm surge, a failed water heater, a burst supply line or an overflowing appliance all cause the same problem, and the response is the same: get it out fast and dry it properly.
We cover Atlantic and Cape May counties, so we are not driving down from somewhere else when you call.
